Short description:
1. To study key ideas and conceptions of main figures and schools in classical and contemporary modern social theory. 2. To learn the legacy of classical modern social theory and its relevance for understanding contemporary social life. 3. To develop students' skills in theoretical thinking and analysis of major contemporary social issues.
